How it works: When the Rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi come into contact with the roots of your plants they attach themselves and grow rapidly, creating a huge secondary fungal root system feeding soil nutriants and water to your plants for their entire life.
Why do plants need friendly fungi: Over 90% of all plants rely on the ultra fine mycorrhizal fungi roots to transfer nutrients and water from the soil that their natural roots alone find hard to access. All home-grown and commercially grown seedlings and bulbs have no mycorrhizal fungi or very low levels on their roots. Treating your plants with Rootgrow ensures that they can establish this essential relationship when planted.
How do plants benefit:
- better nutrient uptake
- increased drought tolerance
- improves plant establishment
- better vegatables, fruits and flowers
- a natural solution to stronger and more sustainable plants
- help overcome replant problems
Plants treated with Rootgrow:
- experience improved natural vigour and earlier growth
- have finer roots able to seek out and transfer vital nutrients in the soil that your plant needs, especially phosphates
- penetrate deeper into the soil to source water, giving plant drought resistance
Application: Sprinkle Rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi evenly into the bottom of the planting hole. Only treat the base of the hole that the plant will sit in (it is not necessary to treat the sides). The Rootgrow granules must touch the plant's naked roots when placing plant into the pre-dug hole.
