About Us

Rumwood Nurseries is a traditional, family run Nursery and Garden Centre. We have been established for over 40 years and are proud to boast that we are Kent's largest and best rose grower. We grow over 400,000 rose plants annually for the trade and general public and are the largest grower of roses in Kent, the Garden of England. We offer a wide range of varieties aiming to satisfy all of your demands, whether the criteria may be colour, bloom shape, scent or nature of growth. We endorse all of the rose varieties that we grow. Rose varieties we sell qualify for selection based on our own experience, and the valued feedback we receive from our customers. With this in mind you can choose our roses with confidence.

In 2005 we acquired an additional site near Crowborough, East Sussex, called Royal Mires Nursery.

Details on our two sites at Langley, Maidstone, Kent and Lye Green, Crowborough, East Sussex can be seen on the Find Us page. Both centres are open between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Saturday and from 10:00 and 16:00 on Sunday. We are also open on Bank Holidays.

We offer a friendly and reliable service supplying both trade and retail across the British Isles and into mainland Europe. We have approximately 40 employees managing over 160 acres used by the Nurseries, Garden Centres and growing fields.
